Hi, I’m Alex and I’m the Project Manager for Racing Green Endurance. With this blog we aim to give regular updates so that no matter who or where you are, you can come here and check out the latest and most exciting things that RGE has been up to!
Over the last few months, our main focus has been on securing the batteries for the epic race that we are trying to win (see previous post) and now that we have done this, we are turning our sights towards the modifications that we need to carry out on the Radical chassis. We have also started design on the control elements, and more information on these technical aspects will be forthcoming in later blog entries!
Anyway, here is a bit of completely non-technical news…we have just moved into our new offices here at Imperial College London. It’s small and cosy, but will give us a place to come and work every day (and night, and weekend, and any spare time whatsoever!) Readers of this blog will be pleased to know that RGE always has its priorities sorted, and the beer fridge is mere meters from the front door of our office!
What’s also cool is that the office, on our South Kensington campus, overlooks Exhibition Road which on the North side has the beautiful Hyde Park, and on the South side has a collection of some of the world’s most famous museums including the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Truly an awesome place to work on such an amazing project!
